The front page of this section has a banner headline: "CARDINALS SEND DEANS AGAINST CUBS TODAY" with subheads that include: "WE'LL WIN AND CLINCH TITLE,' SAYS GRIMM"and more. The Cubs would win this game and capture the National League crown. They would face the Detroit Tigers in the World Series in which they lost. Great to have this Chicago publication. Rare as such.
