October 07, 1916

EVENING TRIBUNE, San Diego, California, Oct. 7, 1916  The front page has a nice banner headline announcing: "RED SOX WIN FROM DODGERS" with subhead: "Brooklyn Stages Thrilling Finish; Final Score 6 to 5".
Included on the front page is the "Box Score" as well as nice text with an inning-by-inning account of the game carrying over to page 4. The sports page has a nice photos and additional text.
Babe Ruth was on the Boston team, but being a pitcher he only pitched in game two, throwing 13 shutout innings, winning the game 2-1. But he went 0 for 5 at the plate. This was just his 2nd full season in Major League Baseball.
Complete in 18 pages and in uncommonly nice, clean condition.
