* Nice masthead engravings
One of the nicer mastheads of the early 18th century with two nice engravings in the masthead, one showing a post boy on horseback "trumpeting" the news.
The front page includes: "Tuesday last being the birthday of her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales, the court then went out of mourning & there was a great appearance of the nobility & gentry...to pay their compliments to her Royal Highness..." with more. The back page has: "This day the following persons appear'd & receiv'd everyone his full claim and demand for his loss and damage sustain'd by the late dreadful fire in Thomas street..." with the list.
Complete as a single sheet newspaper, 8 1/2 by 14 inches, great condition.
