The sport's section (page 15) has a very small one column heading: "Richard gets 50th Goal" First report on Maurice 'Rocket' Richard becoming the very 1st NHL hockey player to score 50 goals in a single season. Includes the lineup for the game with scoring recap. Unfortunately a small report as hockey wasn't as popular back then, but it is was it is, a 1st report.

Complete in 32 pages, this is the rare rag edition that was produced on very high quality newsprint, with a high percentage of cotton & linen content, allowing the issues to remain very white & sturdy into the present. Given the subscription cost, libraries & institutions rather than individuals were the primary subscribers of these high-quality editions. Very nice condition.
