July 17, 1794

THOMAS'S MASSACHUSETTS SPY OR WORCESTER GAZETTE, July 17, 1794

* Siege of Fort Recovery - Ohio
* Northwest Indian War - Confederacy
* General Mad Anthony Wayne

A very ornate masthead makes this a displayable issue.
Page 2 has a report noting: "...was reported that Gen. Wayne was surrounded and completely invested in Fort Recovery by the Indians, who had carried 70 scalps into Detroit."
Also a report: "Execution of Mad. Elizabeth", Madame Elizabeth being the youngest sibling of Louis XVI. It ends with: "...was brought before the Revolutionary Tribunal, tried, convicted, & sentenced to death. Her execution took place this day. She died with great fortitude, aged 30."
Four pages, wide, never-trimmed margins, very nice condition.
