THE WEEKLY ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS, Denver, Colorado, Nov. 15, 1865 This is actually a territorial newspaper as Colorado did not become a state until 1876, eleven years after this issue was published.
The Rocky Mountain News was Colorado's first newspaper, and this is one of the earliest we have offered.
Various news & ads of the day including a ftpg. items concerning hopes for Colorado statehood, with: "Admission Of Colorado". The ftpg. also has: "Women For Colorado".
Four pages, large folio size, minor fold wear with some small tears at an upper fold, never bound nor trimmed. The folder size noted is for the issue folded in half.
