THE SCRANTON REPUBLICAN, Pennsylvania, Sept. 9, 1881
* Last Jesse James Gang robbery
* Blue Cut Train Robbery
* Glendale, Missouri
The front page has one column heads including: "Train Robbers" and "An Express Car And Passengers Robbed--The Governor Of Missouri Issues A Proclamation Calling On The People to Organize And Exterminate Train Robberies". A detailed report of a holdup of the Chicago and Alton Railroad follows these headings. Although not mentioned by name, this was the work of the infamous James Gang. In fact, this was the very last robbery of the James Gang (see photos for the full text).
The report just below this one is headed: "Apache Outrages" "Great Excitement In Arizona--Organization Of The Militia." (see).
Four pages, archival mend to a very minor tear in the Apache article, minor edge tears at the top, otherwise nice.
