October 16, 1777

THE LONDON EVENING POST, England, Oct. 16, 1777  The front page has a bit noting; "...less than a month General Burgoyne acquaints us, that he has got from Ticonderoga to Fort Edward, and without the loss of one of the Regulars They were as safe as a snail in its shell!..." and more.
Page 3 has a full column taken up with: "Advices From America" including mentions of General Campbell, General Tryon, Col. Hewlet, and others.
Than another nice report which has: "...the rebels are retiring to Saratoga, that General Arnold has lately joined them & now commands the Northern army...he intends to make a stand at Saratoga..." then good content on Generals Howe, Burgoyne, and Clinton.
The back page has some American content as shown in the photos.
Four pages, folio size, never-trimmed margins, red tax stamp on page very nice condition.
