Complete in 52 pages, this is the rare rag edition that was produced on very high quality newsprint, with a high percentage of cotton & linen content, allowing the issues to remain very white & sturdy into the present. Given the subscription cost, libraries & institutions rather than individuals were the primary subscribers of these high-quality editions. A few small binding slits along the spine, nice condition.
wikipedia notes: The airship Italia passed over the North Pole at midnight. The Italian tricolor and an oaken cross gifted to Umberto Nobile by the pope were dropped onto the Pole, but Nobile deemed it too risky to attempt a landing because the airship was weighed down with ice and the radio had broken down, so the Italia turned back.
