DAILY ARIZONA CITIZEN, Tucson, Pima County, Arizona, Oct.28, 1879 Many years ago we had a reasonable inventory of this title, but today this is one of our last. And it is a volume one issue from the Territory of Arizona as it did not become a state until 1912.
A nice assortment of news articles and ads, a few ads mentioning Tombstone. The bkpg. has an ad for the famous "Delmonico Restaurant" by "Miss Nellie Cashman" who has some notoriety in Western history (see several web pages on her). Many of the ads throughout the issue have a distinctive "Old West" flavor.
Complete in four pages, never bound nor trimmed, a few very discrete archival mends to margins inside, very small hole at bottom margin touches no text, nice condition.
