March 06, 1886

THE COMMERCIAL BULLETIN, Boston, 1886  A very interesting set of 33 consecutive issues of this newspaper dating from March 6 through October 16, 1886. Each issue has on the front page a chapter of a serialized work titled: "SAINTS AND SINNERS IN SALT LAKE CITY", "Men and Manners In Mormondom", "Woes of Wife and Woman" - which was a series: "Written for the Boston Commercial Bulletin By a Fifteen Years' Resident under Mormon Government" as noted in the title of the latter issues.
Given that this series was written exclusively for this newspaper, it is likely it never appeared elsewhere. Searches on the internet do not return additional information.
This is the complete series, from beginning to end. Each chapter of this work is on the front page, and each takes approximately two full columns. Great to have the complete series rather than portions.
Each issue is complete in 4 pages, is of large folio size measuring 25 by 31 1/2 inches, has some browning at margins and some minor margin tears, but is generally in very nice condition. This set of 33 issues are still bound together having been extracted from the bound volume from whence it came & where it was likely stored for over 100 years in a library or historical society.
