THE NEWS SCIMITAR, Memphis, Tennessee, Dec. 26, 1908

* Jack Johnson - 1st Black to win the World Boxing Title
* Historic Boxing Collectible
* Racially-tainted reporting

Page 7 has the historic report on the first African-American to claim the heavyweight boxing title: "Johnson Claims The Heavyweight Title", but in an obvious case of racial bias, the large, full-figure photo next to the article is of Tommy Burns, the loser, and reds: "Man Who Gives Up World's Title To Negro Fighter".

Ten pages, some margin tears, bit irregular at the spine and partially loose at the spine. Should be handled with care.
