THE MEMPHIS DAILY AVALANCHE, Tennessee, April 20, 1859 From not long before the Civil War containing on the front page 3 illustrated ads for slaves for sale and one "Runaway", with details. One of them notes: "Forty-two likely Negroes, together with all the livestock on the plantation..." and another is quite detailed on a: "...negro man named Remos..." with much more (see).
Four pages, some margin tears, rejoined at the spine, good condition. Folder size is for the issue folded in half.
