The most notable content is the nice ftpg. article: "Another Declaration of Independence" which is an historic letter signed: James Long, concerning this "Long Expedition" This was an 1819 attempt to take control of Spanish Texas led by James Long, which successfully established a small independent government known as the Republic of Texas (distinct from the later Republic of Texas created by the Texas Revolution). The expedition crumbled later in the year, as Spanish troops drove the invaders out. Long returned to Texas in 1820 and attempted to reestablish his control.
Also on the ftpg: "Lower Canada--Death of the Duke of Richmond" and pg. 2 has: "Loss of the Steam Boat Phoenix" with details.
Four pages, a bit irregular at the spine, good condition.
