THE NEW YORK TIMES, Dec. 11, 1932
* Very early King Kong movie mention
Before the movie would premiere in March, 1933, this issue has a early and somewhat inconspicuous mention of King Kong in a little piece on page 7 of the Movie-Drama section (inside) of this newspaper, reading: "With his 'King Kong' now about ready for exhibition, Merian C. Cooper is turning his attention to another adventure theme with the title of 'Killer at Large'...".
Other news, sports and advertisements of the era. Complete in a thich 100+ page Sunday edition, this is the rare rag edition that was produced on very high quality newsprint, with a high percentage of cotton & linen content, allowing the issues to remain very white & sturdy into the present. Given the subscription cost, libraries & institutions rather than individuals were the primary subscribers of these high-quality editions. Nice condition.
