This 28 page newspaper has a three line banner headline on the front page: "MANY BANKS IN THE CITY AND NATION REOPEN TODAY FOR NORMAL OPERATIONS, BUT WITH HOARDING BARRED; ROOSEVELT APPEALS ON THE RADIO FOR FULL CONFIDENCE" with subheads. The text of FDR's first "fireside chat" begins on the front page and concludes on page 3. In his chat he discusses the banking situation and says at the end: "Let us unite in banishing fear".
