WALKER'S HIBERNIAN MAGAZINE, (Dublin, Ireland), August, 1789  Bill Reese notes in one of his catalogs: "This important Irish monthly was founded in 1771 and continued until 1811, the later years under the auspices of Thomas Walker's son, Joseph. During its long run in its different incarnations,  the "Hibernian Magazine" filled the role of a general Dublin periodical in its coverage of news and politics from Ireland, Britain, Europe and North America...".
The front page is taken up with: "Description of the Bastile Prison, in France, which has lately been Destroyed by the Populace". Lacking the print of it which is called for. Near the back is: "Irish Parliamentary Intelligence" which takes 5 pages. Also at the back is the "Historical Chronicle" with the latest news of the day.
Complete in 56 pages, disbound without a title page, 5 1/4 by 8 1/2 inches, scattered foxing & minimal margin wear, generally good.
