This famous newspaper is subtitled: "Daily News of U.S. Armed Forces in the European Theater of Operations", and being the "Germany Edition" it is perhaps the very best newspaper in which to have the historic report of V-E Day, the end of World War II in Europe. As seen in the photos below nearly two-thirds of the front page is taken up with the huge headline: "NAZIS QUIT ! " Also: "Doenitz Gives Order" with some text which begins: "Unconditional surrender of all German forces was announced yesterday by the German radio at Flensburg...".
More related text on the other 3 pages of this issue. Complete as a 4 page newspaper, measures 11 by 15 1/2 inches, in excellent condition and a terrific display issue as such.
