Among the one column headlines on the Civil War are: "PRESIDENT'S PROCLAMATION" "Our Victories In Tennessee" "A Call For Thanksgiving" signed in type: A. Lincoln. Also: "Longstreet's Retreat Officially Confirmed" "Gen. Sherman Arrives at Knoxville on the 3d" and more.
Complete in eight pages. This issue is not fragile as newsprint from this era was made of cotton and linen rags, allowing them to remain very pliable and easy to handle. Nice condition.
