ILLUSTRATED LONDON NEWS, England, Nov. 29, 1856 See the photo for the terrific full page print captioned: "Slave Sale, Charleston, South Carolina..." with the print showing the sale of over a dozen slaves. Almost never are such large prints of slave sales found in period newspapers, and this is perhaps the very best to be found. No American newspaper printed a slave auction print which rivals this one. The image measures about 9 1/2 by 14 inches, while the entire page is 11 by 15 1/2 inches. There is also a related article on the following page.
This issue is complete in 24 pages, is in great condition.
