FRANK LESLIE'S ILLUSTRATED NEWSPAPER, New York, Dec. 10, 1859 The front page has 3 prints: "Mrs. Brown" "John Brown's Coffin" and "...Making Their Last Visit to John Brown in his Cell at Charlestown, Previous to His Execution".
The doublepage centerfold is a dramatic print: "The Execution of John Brown in a Stubble Field, Near Charlestown, Va." showing many troops and Brown hanging in the background (see). There are also two more pages with 4 prints on: "The Harper's Ferry Insurrection" including: "...Visiting Cook and Coppic in their Cell, Previous to Their Execution".
Complete in 16 pages, never bound nor trimmed so it folds out to one large sheet, very nice, clean condition.
