ARMY & NAVY CHRONICLE, Washington, D.C., Dec. 22, 1836 A small size periodical obviously themed on the military. The first 42+ pages are taken up with the: "Report of the Secretary of War". There is also a full page taken up with a: "TABULAR STATEMENT of the Number of Midshipmen, Lieutenants, Commanders & Captains in service in each year from 1816 to 1835 inclusive, together with the number of appointments, of promotions, and of deaths, resignations, and dismissals." (see). More similar charts in this issue as well.
Eight pages, 6 1/4 by 9 3/4 in., pages are mis-numbered, some light damp staining, good condition.
