The front page has: "His Majesty's Ratification" being the text of King George III' official ratification of the Jay Treaty, signed by him in type: G. R. This is followed by the: "Ratification of the United States, George Washington, President of the United States of America" with the text of his official ratification of the Treaty, signed in type: Geo. Washington. Other related documents follow as well. The text of the Jay Treaty is not here. See the hyperlink for much on the importance of the Jay Treaty. In essence it touched on many facets or relations with England & settled many of the unresolved issues from the end of the Revolutionary War and offered at least 10 years of peace with America's largest trading partner.
