THE NEW YORK TIMES, May 29, 1946

* 1st Yankee Stadium (old) night game
* New York Yankees
* Best title to have in

This 44 page newspaper has one column headlines on page 26 that include: "LEONARD, SENATORS, SUBDUES YANKS, 2-1", "49,917 See Hurler Bat In Run That Wins First Night Game Ever Staged at Stadium" and more with nice photo inside Yankee Stadium with caption: "NEW YORK'S BASEBALL FANS WITNESSING THEIR FIRST NIGHT GAME AT THE STADIUM".

1st report coverage on the very first night baseball game held at the old Yankee Stadium. Great to have in this famous NYC paper.

Other news, sports and advertisements of the day throughout. Light browning, a few small cutouts on a few inside pages but not on the mentioned page, otherwise nice.

wikipedia notes: Yankee Stadium was a stadium located in the New York City borough of The Bronx. It was the home baseball park of Major League Baseball's New York Yankees from 1923 to 1973 and after extensive renovations, from 1976 to 2008. The stadium hosted 6,581 Yankees regular season home games during its 85-year history. It was also the former home of the New York Giants football team. The stadium's nickname, "The House That Ruth Built", originated from Babe Ruth, the iconic baseball superstar whose prime years coincided with the stadium's opening and beginning of the Yankees' winning history.
