THE MASSACHUSETTS CENTINEL, Boston, May 2, 1789 The front page contains "A Song--On the Arrival of the Illustrious President WASHINGTON" taking half a column. Page 3 includes an article: "Of the President Of the United States" concerning his arrival in Philadelphia on his way to New York City for his inauguration {was April 30), including good mention of all the pomp and ceremony (see). Included is an address from the city officials to Washington, along with his replay which is signed by him in type: G. Washington (see). Also on pg. 3 is an item "From New York" dated April 24 which begins: "I informed you yesterday of the arrival of the President..." with some content on the travels of Vice President Adams on his way to New York (see).
Four pages, bit close-trimmed at the bottom of pg. 2 not affecting any mentioned reports, very nice condition.
