THE DAY, New London, Connecticut, September 4, 1930

* Santo Domingo - Dominican Republic
* Hurricane San Zenon (1st report)

This 18 page newspaper has a four column headline on the front page: "900 Dead, Injured, in Hurricane; City of Santo Domingo Laid Waste; Storm Is Now Passing Out to Sea" with many subheads (see photos).

Other news, sports and advertisements of the day throughout. Light browning, a few tiny binding holes along spine but otherwise in good condition.

wikipedia notes: The 1930 Dominican Republic Hurricane, also known as Hurricane San Zenon is the fifth deadliest Atlantic hurricane on record. The second of two known tropical cyclones in the 1930 Atlantic hurricane season, the hurricane was first observed on August 25 near the Cape Verde islands. The hurricane was a small but intense Category 4 hurricane during the 1930 Atlantic hurricane season, and killed as many as 8,000 people when it crossed Hispaniola.
