BOSTON GAZETTE, Boston, Massachusetts, October 14, 1813 Page one has "A Proclamation, For A Day Of Thanksgiving And Prayer", signed Caleb Strong, the governor of Massachusetts. The front page also has a report on the capture of the Argus, along with the death report of William Henry Allen, its captain.
Other news of the day is found throughout. The issue is complete in 4 pages and is in good condition, but does have a slightly rough left spine (see images). Several illustrated ship ads are present as well.
