DAILY GAZETTE, Sterling-Rock Falls, Illinois, January 17, 1991 This is one of the more dramatic issues to be had on the beginning of the Iraq War, when the United States initiated the air war to evict Iraq from conquered Kuwait. Fully half of the front page is taken up with: "WAR !" in purple letters, beneath which is "Allies Slam Saddam" and a photo of an F-$ Phantom fighter-bomber pilot being welcomed back to his base in Saudi Arabia.
This issue is complete in 20 pages and is in great condition. A rare opportunity for one of the more dramatic newspapers of the 20th century.
