THE LONDON CHRONICLE, England, July 11, 1780 the ftpg. includes a "Copy of a Letter from General Sir Henry Clinton to Lord George Germain, dated Head Quarters Charles-Town [Charleston] South Carolina, June 3, 1780" signed by him in type: H. Clinton, and what follows is a lengthy: "Hand-Bill issued after the Surrender of Charles-town". This is followed by three more Proclamations concerning the fall of Charleston, carrying over to pgs. 2 & 3, as well as the "Articles of Capitulation...." for the surrender of Fort Moultrie in Charleston harbor, and an address to the inhabitants of Charleston which begins: "The inhabitants of Charles-Town, by the Articles of Capitulation, are declared prisoners on parole..." with much more (see).
The bkpg. has an historic report that notes: "Sir, I have the satisfaction to inform you that on the 14th of this month...the Castle of Mobile, with a garrison of 300 men, 35 cannon...surrendered to the King's troops. This capture cost us more men & time than we had imagined..." with more (see).
Eight pgs., 8 1/2 by 11 in., some rubbing to the ftpg. folds only affects some words but causes no loss of readability, otherwise in nice condition.
