The annual message of President Martin Van Buren...

Item # 553743

December 05, 1837

THE GLOBE, Washington, December 5, 1837  On page 2 under "Twenty-Fifth Congress, Second Session" is mention that:

* ...the President would send a message, in writing, to...Congress, at 12 o'clock this day. The following message was received from the President... through his private secretary, A. Van Buren, Esq.

Hereafter is the text of the President's message taking all of pg. 2 & concluding on pg. 3, signed in type: M. Van Buren. Nice to have in a Washington paper.

Other news of the day throughout this 4 page issue. Some writing in the upper margin of the front page bleeds thru into the text of the message, lite occasional foxing, otherwise nice.
