January 10, 1795
COLUMBIAN CENTINEL, Boston, January 10, 1795 Signed by Go. Washington in script type on the front page "A Proclamation" in which he sets aside Thursday, February 19th as a day of public thanksgiving & prayer (see photos for full text). This issue has its faults, including an ad clipped from the back leaf, a discreet archival mend to the ftpg., and various wear at the margins including some chipping & loss (see), along with various browning. Fortunately there are no disfigurements to the Washington Proclamation.
