This is a full page plate showing a map, captioned at the bottom:
"A Map of the Old World, as it Appeared before God Destroy'd it with the Waters of the Flood."
It is dated at the top, noting it was from the "Gentleman's Magazine" for Dec., 1736 (see photos).
Measures about 5 by 8 from edge to edge. minor loss at the top margin line, minor browning, otherwise in nice condition.
A fascinating and early map.
