This is a full page plate showing a map, captioned at the bottom:
"A Map of the Old World, as it Appeared before God Destroy'd it with the Waters of the Flood."
It is dated at the top, noting it was from the "Gentleman's Magazine" for Dec., 1736 (see photos).
Measures about 5 by 8 from edge to edge. Some brown spotting, including on the caption (see photos) but causing no loss of readability.
A fascinating and early map.
