Page 7 contains a somewhat brief yet significant article on the "motorcycle tour of 1916", headed: "4,000 Miles By Motyor Cycle" "New York Women Reach San Diego--Climbed Pike's Peak on Machines" with the dateline of San Diego, and the text reading: "After a motorcycle trip of more than 4,000 miles, Misses Adelina and Augusta Van Buren arrived here yesterday from New York, from where they started July 5. They will make the return trip by train. The two motorcyclists traveled via Buffalo, Chicago, Omaha, and Denver to Colorado Springs, where they climbed Pike's Peak on their machines, a feat never before accomplished by women, it is said. Their route carried them on to Glenwood Springs and Salt Lake City and across the great American desert. They were on the desert eleven days."
This is the complete 20 page issue, some light browning but otherwise in very nice, clean condition.
