This 8 page newspaper is in good condition (except for some spine (left margin) wear) due to the use of cotton and rag paper during this very historic time in U.S. history. This issue is loaded with advertisements and Civil War reports throughout from the day it was first reported which includes the following FRONT PAGE Map: "BURNSIDE'S CAMPAIGN". Another map is located on the back page captioned: "DESTRUCTION OF ST. MARYS, GEORGIA" Also includes the following headlines: "NEWS FROM BURNSIDE'S ARMY" "The Demand for the Surrender" "THE REPLY OF THE MAYOR OF THE CITY" "Rebel Earthworks Thrown Up for the Defense of the City" "Attack on the Union Working Parties Near Halltown" "THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER EXPEDITION" "THE DESTRUCTION OF ST. MARYS" and much more. Nice to read about the Civil War as it was happening. MAKES A GREAT UNIQUE GIFT.
