July 23, 1946

THE SPRINGFIELD UNION, Mass. July 21, 1944. This 22 page newspaper has a nice two line banner headline on the front page: "REVOLT IN GERMAN ARMY; OFFICERS TRY TO KILL HITLER, OPEN WAY FOR SURRENDER" with subheads that include: "Fuehrer Claims Leaders Shot, Plot Broken, But His Actions Indicate Uprising Continues" plus a one column photo of Adolph Hitler. Other news of the day throughout with loads of advertisments. Little wear around the margins, otherwise in good condition.
