HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, May 2, 1863 The full front page shows: "Collecting Confiscated Anglo-Rebel Cotton in the Southwest" with several vignettes. Inside has a half page: "Iron-clad 'Keokuk' Sinking on the Morning After the Battle of Charleston, South Carolina" and a nice halfpg. view of: "Suffolk, Virginia". Fullpg: "The President, General Hooker and Their Staffs at a Review in the Army of the Potomac" showing Lincoln on horseback, which is unusual. Also a full page with 2 prints: 'Charleston, from Fort Johnson" and "The Defenses of Charleston, Looking Seaward"; and a nice full page: "The Bombardment of Fort Sumter".
The great doublepage centerfold shows a: "Review by the President of the Cavalry of the Army of the Potomac--General Buford's Division of Regulars" with hundreds of soldiers on horseback.
The back page has a political cartoon: "A Word to the Wise(?)". Complete in 16 pages.
