HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, January 10, 1863  The front page has an interesting circular illustration of "Rebel Negro Pickets as Seen Through a Field-Glass", with a related article: "Rebel Negro Pickets".
A full page with 3 views of: "The Battle of Goldsborough..." and "Battle of Kinston..." and "Battle of Whitehall..."; half page print: "Arrival of the Transport 'North Star,' With Major-General Banks and Staff, at the Levee at New Orleans", and a print of: "Brigadier-General J. G. Foster".
The doublepage centerfold is a dramatic print of the: "Gallant Charge of Humphrey's Division at the Battle of Fredericksburg". Full page with 3 scenes: "Holly Springs, Mississippi..." and a fullpg. with 4 prints: "The Battle of Fredericksburg--The Artillery Covering the Retreat" & "Franklin's Division Recrossing the River" & "Burnard's House" and "Doubleday's Skirmishers". There is also a nearly half page: "Fort Negley, Near Nashville, Tennessee".
The back page has 2 political cartoons, one featuring Lincoln: "Universal Advice to Abraham. Drop 'em!" Complete in 16 pages.
