DOG TAGS of the 3141 Sig. Svc. Gp, Saturday, Sept. 8 (1945)  This was one of many "camp" newspapers crudely produced by military units during World War II. The year is not noted, however the article has a focus on returning from the war on the point system, and Sept. 8 was a Saturday in 1945. 
The articles are typewriter set, several hand-drawn cartoonish prints, likely printed on a mimeograph machine.
Of smaller size than most, 12 pages, 6 1/2 by 8 inches, very nice condition.

Technically an 8 page newspaper, never bound nor trimmed, there is only printing on 4 pages and paginated as such, 4 pages left blank (purposely formatted that way). Measures 15 by 10 1/2 inches, very nice condition.

CHICAGO DAILY TRIBUNE, Sept. 8, 1920  Perhaps as a knee-jerk reaction to the 1919 World Series scandal, page 17 has a one column head: "Jurors Cheer As Judge Orders Baseball Quiz" "Hoyne to Co-operate in Sifting Scandal".

THE EVENING TRIBUNE, San Diego, California, Sept. 8, 1908  The front pager features a two-line banner headline: "Sensational Reports of Attempt on the Life of President Roosevelt at Oyster Bay" with subheads: "Alleged That Shot Was Fired At Him Saturday" "Secret Service Officers Investigating But President Attaches No Importance to It--Crank With a Gun Arrested on the Grounds".
It never happened. This newspaper reports an event which did not occur.

Four pages, very large size, folded 3 times with wear at the folds. The folder size noted is for the issue folded in half.

DAILY NEWS--WAR EXTRA, Los Angeles, Sept. 8, 1943  A very displayable issue with this great front page: "Eisenhower announces---ALL ITALY IN SURRENDER ! " and: "Military Armistice In Effect". A very displayable issue.
A tabloid-size newspaper, present are 12 of the 40 pages, good condition.
