The masthead notes that this is the volume 1, number 1 issue, however references online note that the "Breeze" existed from 1881 - 1887. This newspaper is not listed in Gregory's "Union List of Newspapers" (i.e., it is extremely rare).
In any case, this is the first newspaper we have offered from this upstate city.
Bonus: The back-page has an installment of the "Uncle Remus" stories reprinted from the Atlanta Constitution: "'BRER' RABBIT'S SANITY TEST", which takes more than a column.
Four pages, minor margin wear, good condition.
Background:The Prattsburgh Breeze was a weekly newspaper published in Prattsburgh, Steuben County, New York, beginning around 1881 and continuing until 1887.
