On peace ending the War of 1812...
WEEKLY AURORA, Philadelphia, Feb. 28, 1815 The entire front page is taken up with text concerning the end of the War of 1812, with the first column headed: "Celebration of a Glorious Victory and a Glorious Peace."
There is much more on the inside pages concerning the end of the war including a page 3 address of the President to Congress, beginning: "I lay before congress copies of the treaty of peace & amity between the United States & his Britannic Majesty which was signed by the commissioners of both parties at Ghent on the 24th of December, 1814..." with much more, signed in type: James Madison. There is much on the Battle of New Orleans as well.
Measures 11 1/2 by 15 inches, wide, never-trimmed margins, rubbing at the front page folds does cause some text loss, various foxing throughout.
