* Only 2nd Black-American to do so
* James Braddock in defeat (1st report)

The top of the front page has a one column heading: "Louis Knocks Out Braddock In 8 Rounds" which continues on page 13. However, the most dramatic coverage begins on page 1H of the Sports Section with the heading: "NEW CHAMPION", which is followed by multiple articles and photos, and continues for several pages with additional dramatic photos. This victory over James Braddock made Lewis only the 2nd Black-American to win the heavyweight title. See images for details.
Complete with all 30 pages, light toning and minor wear at the margins, small address label on the front page, some small binding holes along the spine, but generally in nice condition. Several pages are suitable for framing.
