G. Farragut, Rear Admiral; "The Montauk's Bombardment of Fort M'Allister" & more.
The back page includes the always interesting editorial which includes in part: "...the British stole as many negroes in the campaigns of 1813-14 as the Yankees have done lately; & they stole them from no philanthropic sympathy with the slaves, but only in the wanton desire of doing our people as much harm as possible. They, too, thought to cap the climax of Southern misery by bringing into the field an army of negroes..." (see for portions). Also: "Important If True--Grand Programme for Terminating the War & Forming a Northwest Confederacy" "...Of the London Times--The Rebels Fear a Renewal of the Attack" "The Union Troops Wish to Get Away" and more.
