* Declaration of Independence anniversary
* War with England imminent ?

On the ftpg. under "The Patriotism Of Our Fathers" is: "In Congress, July 4, 1776. By The Representatives Of The U. States Of America In Congress Assembled:  A Declaration" (see photos below). Hereafter is the text of the Declaration of Independence, signed in type: John Hancock & Charles Thompson. Also on the ftpg. under "Indian News" is a letter from Governor W. H. Harrison, at Vincennes,  which discusses Indian affairs and is signed in type: Wm. H. Harrison. Also a report from Savannah headed "Florida Expedition" and ToThe Heroes of Tippecanoe". Other various bits of news, plus ads for the "Harvard College Lottery" cures for "Venereal Disease" and a product to destroy  bed bugs. A full size, four page newspaper, occasional foxing, otherwise in very good condition. Great to have in a newspaper with "Independent" in the title.
Four pages, a bit of foxing, nice condition.
