* Battle of the Wilderness w/ maps
* Robert E. Lee vs. Ulysses S. Grant

The front page is dominated by a quite large & very detailed Civil War map headed: "IMPORTANT OPERATIONS ON JAMES RIVER. Major General Butler's Landing on the South Side of the River---The Approaches to the Rebel Capital."
There is much related text & column headlines concerning this, the Battle of the Wilderness, including: "ONWARD TO RICHMOND!" "Complete Surprise of the Rebels  by Major General Butler" "Splendid Success of the Operation" "The Reported Battle of the Wilderness" "Success of Gen. Grant in His Operations" and much more.
Additionally, the back page features a nice map headed: "THE BATTLE OF THE WILDERNESS. Scene of Thurs. & Friday's Conflict Between Generals Grant and Lee."
Eight pages, great condition.
