July 28, 1914
THE EVENING TRIBUNE, San Diego, July 28, 1914
* World War I begins (1st report)
* Austria - Serbia & more
* "War to end all wars"
The front page has a great banner headline in red lettering: "AUSTRO-HUNGARY MAKES DECLARATION OF WAR AGAINST SERVIA" with subheads. (see) Nice for display. Surprisingly this issue is in good condition being from the "wood pulp" era. Very hard to find issues that are not totally fragile from this era in paper. Rare as such.
Complete with 10 pages, small library stamps within the masthead, generally very nice.
