This is one of the better newspapers to be had on this famous battle from the Crimean War, made so by the well-known poem by Tennyson: "Charge of the Light Brigade".
This issue contains a very dramatic doublepage foldout captioned: "Charge Of Light Cavalry, at Balaclava", and on the next page is a report titled: "The Battle of Balaclava" which has details on the charge of the Light Brigade, including: "...And so, in a purposeless attack, our Light Cavalry Brigade was destroyed, thus affording one more instance of the mistake to which English cavalry officers have always been prone--attempting too much..." with more.
Included within is the "Christmas Supplement" which has many Christmas-themed prints.
Complete in 48 pages, very nice condition.
