The front page begins with two Acts of Congress, each signed in script type by the President; Go. Washington.
Page 3 has a document, signed by the President: G. Washington, in which he nominates John Jay as an envoy extraordinary to England in an effort to creates a treaty to resolve a number of lingering issues between the two countries. It would become known as the Jay Treaty.
Four pages, very nice condition.
