The front page has: "From Fredericksburg" "Thew Situation in Tennessee" "From North Carolina" "City Intelligence" "Additional From The North with many subheads including: "Butler at Home--A Public Reception Given Him--Butler Makes a Speech--History of the Peninsula Campaign--Another Important Letter from  President Lincoln to General McClellan..." which includes the letter, signed by him in type: A. Lincoln. This letter is very critical of McClellan movements in Virginia. This is followed by McClellan response, signed by him: Geo. B. McClellan. Also on the front page is: "The President's Special War Order #1" and his "...Order #3" each of which is signed by him in type: Abraham Lincoln.
The back page is most taken up with the editorial and lengthy reporting from: "The Confederate Congress" which takes 2 1/2 columns, followed by reports from the "Virginia Legislature".
Complete as a single sheet newspaper with a banner masthead, very nice condition.
