Page 5 is entirely filled with many advertisements, and among them are at least two for the sale of slaves, headed: "Foster's Slave Depot...he keeps constantly on hand and for sale mechanics, field hands, cooks, washers...Also buys and sells SLAVES on commission...large three story building to the use of Slaves, has made it the best depot in the city & well furnished for the comfort of Slaves." (see), and a another: "Virginia and Maryland [Blacks] for SALE..." (see) Three other slave related ads on the same page as well.
Eight pages, various news of the day, loose and irregular at the spine, otherwise nice.
